LAHORE : Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi conducted a detailed inspection visit to the new Ravi Bridge project in a severe cold weather late at night.
CM inspected the ongoing development work being done for the construction of a bridge in the night shift and reviewed progress being made up till now.
He shook hands with the laborers busy in doing piling, drilling work and commended them on working diligently on the public welfare project in a severe cold weather even late at night. CM directed to utilize all the necessary resources for early construction of the bridge adding that piling work should be moved forward swiftly along with accelerating pace of work on the new Ravi Bridge.
He issued directions to the contractor to further expedite the construction activities. CM emphasised that this project should be completed at the earliest for the facilitation of people. The entry and exit traffic will be provided a great ease in its transportation with the construction of new Ravi Bridge. Commissioner Lahore and the contractor gave a detailed briefing about progress being made on the construction of the bridge. It was informed during the briefing that the piling and boring process is continuing for 24 hours and two new machines have been installed for the piling work.
A new bridge is being constructed consisting of 4 lanes and 540 meters long on the Ravi Bridge. Provincial Ministers Amir Mir, Azfar Ali Nasir, Secretary C&W, Deputy Commissioner, Chief Engineer LDA, Nespak, Officials of C&W, Irrigation, district administration and other departments were also present on the occasion.
Meanwhile, second state-of-the-art Business Facilitation Centre of Punjab has been made operational under one-window operation in Sialkot. Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi inaugurated the Business Facilitation Centre at the Anwaar Club of Sialkot and distributed NOCs among the business personalities.
CM visited the Business Facilitation Centre being established for the facilitation of investors and reviewed swift paced one-window operation being established for the national and foreign investors.
Meanwhile, the mission to accomplish public welfare projects before the stipulated deadline in Punjab is ongoing. For the first time in the history of Pakistan, a Provincial Minister has shifted to a container.
On the special direction of Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi, Provincial Minister for Housing Azfar Ali Nasir got his bed placed in a container on the site of Bund Road Controlled Access Corridor project and adopted a temporary residence. Azfar Ali Nasir has been assigned the task to undertake 24 hours monitoring for the completion of Bund Road Controlled Access Corridor project.
