Event organised for visually impaired people
Rawalpindi : Provincial Minister for Primary and Secondary Health and Population Welfare Punjab Dr. Jamal Nasir said that the friendship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia has a unique place in the world and that Saudi Arabia has always supported Pakistan in every difficult time.
He expressed these views while addressing a function organised for the visually impaired persons in Islamabad, says a press release.
According to the details, a ceremony was held in here at the office of the Muslim World League Pakistan regarding visually impaired people. Provincial Minister for Primary and Secondary Health and Population Welfare Punjab Dr. Jamal Nasir participated in the ceremony as a chief guest. Ambassador of Saudi Arabia Nawaf bin Said al-Malki also specially participated in the ceremony.
Addressing the ceremony, Provincial Minister Dr. Jamal Nasir said that the friendship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia has a unique place in the world. Saudi Arabia has always supported Pakistan in every difficult time. The hearts of the people of Saudi Arabia and Pakistan beat together.
Free eye camp was organised in December with the support of the Muslim World League.
He said that free eye check-up service was provided to eye disease patients in free eye camp. The best health facilities are being provided in Punjab. Revamping and renovation of around 100 small and big hospitals is going on.
The provincial minister invited the ambassador of Saudi Arabia to set up medical camps in the major cities of Punjab with the support of Saudi Arabia. The ambassador of Saudi Arabia, Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki, appreciated the proposal of the provincial minister Dr. Jamal Nasir and assured of cooperation.
A documentary film on the Free Eye camp set in December 2023 was also screened at the event. In the event, the Director of the Muslim World League Pakistan Saad Masood Al Harisi and Military Attache Air commodore Khaled Owyed Alanazi were also present on this occasion.
