ECP decision result of Imran’s arrogance: Marriyum
LAHORE: PMLN Information Secretary and former federal minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb has said that the decision of ECP over PTI’s intra-party elections is a result of Imran Khan’s arrogant violation of his own party’s constitution and the prevailing Election Law.
In a statement, Marriyum said that PTI only has Imran to blame for this outcome.
She said that instead of projecting this decision as biased, or ill-motivated, PTI should look to set its house in order and learn to comply with the rules and laws.
She slammed Imran Khan and PTI’s double standards where they hail all decisions in their favour as most fair and start demonising the courts, judges, the election commission and every other institution, the moment
any decision goes against them.
This, she said, was a clear proof that Imran Khan, leader of the party-for-justice, does not believe in justice or rule of law. Imran only wants self-serving dummy institutions that deliver whatever they desire.
The former federal minister said that the election commission has presented a comprehensive, clear and indisputable reasoning for the decision.
Imran misguided and misled the people of Pakistan by creating the cipher drama and used it to rile up Pakistanis against Pakistan’s institutions.
It was now once again using the same strategy to try to defile the reputation of the election commission. This, Marriyum said, PTI is doing so when people of Pakistan will reject PTI on February 8, PTI would cry foul and blame the election commission for being biased against them.
