ABBOTTABAD: Army Burn Hall College for Girls here on Thursday hosted its annual Parents’ Day celebration, which also turned into Iqbal Day (November 9).

Maj Gen Iftikhar Hassan Chaudhry, commandant of Pakistan Military Academy, serving as the chief guest, distributed prizes and medals to position holders.

The Parents’ Day event exceeded expectations, featuring diverse cultural and athletic performances by students, showcasing their talents and the school’s commitment to holistic development.

Performances included musical PT shows, karate demonstrations, band performances, fancy dress shows, and theatrical presentations.The Principal, Brig Dr Muhammad Naveed, welcomed guests and stated that the institution was committed to academic excellence and character development.

The prize distribution ceremony recognised outstanding students in academics, sports, and various artistic domains. Special prizes were awarded for singular accomplishments.

Teachers achieving excellent results in the Federal Board and University of Peshawar examinations were given honorariums.Maj Gen Iftikhar Hassan Chaudhry praised the institution’s dedication to academic and character development, commending the administration, teachers, and students.

He highlighted the transformative potential of education and acknowledged the Army Burn Hall College for Girls as a significant contributor to the nation’s progress.
