Babar denies joining PTI, says fake social media account spreads disinformation
ISLAMABAD: Secretary General Pakistan People’s Party Parliamentarians Farhatullah Babar has refuted social media content posted with his name and picture saying it was a fake account.
The content posted from the fake account impersonating him claimed that he was joining PTI. Taking his genuine X (formerly known as Twitter) account, Farhatullah Babar said the absurd news circulating on a fake Twitter account with his picture is totally false and ridiculous. He termed the claims “absolutely rubbish, non-sense and most condemnable.”
Babar said that he had reported the fake account to X, adding he does not have any other Twitter account. He said his calls for level playing field in elections are for all parties, adding, “Don’t mistake it for joining a bashed party.”
