From late-night mall visits, to checking out jewellery vendors, to rushing to the tailors’ to get the dresses stitched at the eleventh hour and then, the madness at the salon to get mehndi done on you first, this year, pre-Eid time was no different. But what if these festivities came on a single platform to give you an experience of a lifetime?

To make Ramazan and Eid memorable, Pakistan’s first ever 7-day Eid Souk recently took place in the cosmopolitan city, Karachi. The souk was held at Global Marquees from June 9th till Chand Raat, treating Karachiites with a true essence of the amazing Eid festivities. The setup was where you would want to be with your family and friends.

The opening night of the souk was attended by many celebrities and socialites along with the cast of ‘Na Band Na Baraati’. People were coming in right after iftar and enjoying the air-conditioned marquees in the humid weather and later had the delicious eateries in the food area.

The Eid Souk was a one-stop arena that offered everything under one roof; fashion, food, and fun. It entailed the display of fashion brands from couture to street wear, exhibitors showcasing handicrafts, home accessories and even furniture. One could find a variety of beauty products, handbags, shoes, jewellery and other accessories.

Also, it was for all fashionistas, shopaholics, and foodies to have an experience of a lifetime.

Some of the major fashion brands exhibiting at the Eid Souk included HSY, Zaheer Abbas, Wardha Saleem, The PinkTree Company, Alkaram, Lulusar, Boheme by Kanwal, Tarzz and many more. Other than that, Nadia Chottani, Silk Avenue, Luxe, Chapter 13, Miniso, Tali, and Ornamente were the brands one needed to look for accessories, handbags, shoes, and jewellery.

For a perfect makeup fix, various popular makeup brands were there to cater all the needs.

A separate area was designated for all the renowned food franchises where people could devour scrumptious and mouth watering food of all kinds including Hoagies, Cosmopolitan, Del Frio, Mehran Sajji and Truck Adda - a UAE-based restaurant debuting in Pakistan only at the Eid Souk.

A massive play area spread over10,000 square feet was put together for children. From the biggest jumping castles to train rides, zorb balls, sumo wrestling and much more. The space also had a gaming area for the adults, where they could enjoy arcade games, carrom, etc.

Eid Souk was a complete family package with entry free for all. This was one of a kind event and the people were already in love with the ambiance, products and the environment. Those who have missed this grand gala, fret not, there is always a next time.
