The music launch

Sound of music

With the on-going cinematic ventures, it might seem as if our film industry is exploring ways of developing an ‘effective cinema’. It all started in 2007! From ‘Khuda Kay Liye’, which got critical acclaim for its hard-hitting script, to ‘Jawani Phir Na Aani’ that left us in splits, every one of us is compelled to believe in the fact that Pakistan’s movie industry has come a long way. And not to forget that films are incomplete without good, catchy music. It is the compositions and situation of the songs that make any movie an enjoyable experience.

With so many films releasing every now and then, director and writer Rafay Rashidi has tried to join the bandwagon with his up-coming comedy drama ‘Thora Jee Le’ (TJL). Recently, the film’s music launch was held in Karachi followed by a press conference where the entire cast of the movie interacted with the media and talked about what the film holds for the audiences. The music of ‘Thora Jee Le’ is composed by Suhaib Rashidi with sound mixing by Electrikroom Studios. The cast includes Rizwan Ali Jaffri, Bilal Abbas, Ramsha Khan, Salman Faisal, Fatima Shah Jillani, Kasim Khan and Ahsan Mohsin Ikram, who will be bringing a young feel to the celluloid.

The story of the film revolves around the life of youngsters; hence the music has been kept light and fresh - complementing the young talent that has been debuting through this project. The tunes are hummable and the music grows on you gradually.

During the press conference, Rafay Rashidi said, “Thora Jee Le is a story of seven individuals belonging to different backgrounds and their transition from college to practical life. It is about self-discovery, friendship, fun and love between friends. It is packed with lots of comedy and entertainment.”

So, gear up for this fun-filled rollercoaster of emotions and amusement which is going to be released soon.
