Film and TV actor Shaz Khan escalated to fame with Moor, a film by Jamshed Mehmood, better known as filmmaker Jami.
He followed it up by roles in feature films like Dobara Phir Se and Parwaaz Hai Junoon that featured him as a fighter pilot. In between films, the Pakistani-American actor appeared in TV plays including Yakeen Ka Safar and the recently concluded Lamhe that included Zara Noor Abbas as his co-star.
The actor is now gearing up for another challenging role and he is currently busy training for it. It is an international project and, according to his recent social media post, he will be essaying the role of an MMA fighter. He posted a video from a training session with Master Rafael Cordeiro.
“A glimpse into the training I have been doing to prepare for my upcoming role as an MMA fighter in the feature film The Martial Artist,” he noted in the caption.
“One of the goals of the film is to humanize the fighters and the often misunderstood sport which is a true combination of science and art,” he added. “Humble with insatiable appetite to grow, these extraordinary athletes and coaches have hearts as big as their will. Will keep giving my best to make sure they are presented truthfully.”
Can Shaz Khan depict the role of an MMA fighter, time will tell but he is certainly putting in the effort.
