The much anticipated drama serial Dil Kiya Karey, which features Yumna Zaidi, Feroze Khan, Mirza Zain Baig and Maryam Nafees in key roles, is all set to go on air on Geo TV starting tonight.
Film and TV director Mehreen Jabbar, who is known for her neo-realistic style of storytelling and trend-setting television serials such as Ab Tum Ja Saktey Ho, Doraha and Malal among others, will be returning to television with Dil Kiya Karey.
Mehreen’s last project for TV was a telefilm called Dino Ki Dulhaniya with Feroze Khan and Sana Javed in key roles, and went on air this past Eid-ul-Azha (2018).
Penned by Asma Nabeel of Khaani fame, Dil Kiya Karey is a love triangle between Feroze, Yumna and Zain Baig that will also highlight important issues, deeply rooted in Pakistani society.
This serial will not only discuss social taboos, but according to Mehreen Jabbar, will also “cover multiple themes ranging from selfless love, finding love after loss, finding a purpose in one’s life and the fulfillment that comes from public service”.
Produced under the banner of 7th Sky Entertainment, the drama has an all-star cast that also includes Usman Mukhtar, Marina Khan, Sonia Rehman, Sarmad Khoosat, Shamim Hilaly, Abid Ali and Tanveer Jamal.
