The star cast and director Asim Raza had their first interaction with media post the final day of the film’s shoot.
Asim Raza’s second feature film Parey Hut Love that stars Sheheryar Munawar, Maya Ali, Zara Noor Abbas and Ahmed Ali Butt in key roles wrapped up earlier this week. On the last day of shoot, the cast and crew had a meet and greet with press on the film’s set, an old colonial house located opposite Frere Hall in Karachi. It was a starry evening with stars in the house, live instrumental being played in the background and a beautiful décor creating the right ambiance for the occasion.
Starting off with an extended red carpet where stars interacted with the media, the event introduced us to the couples featured in Parey Hut Love. While Sheheryar and Maya will be the lead pair, the other three on-screen couples include Ahmed Ali and Zara Noor, Faheem Azam (who is also the acting coach) and Rachel Viccaji and Jimmy Khan and Parishey James. Each pair showed up at the balcony of the house, one by one, before all of them came together for a group photo. It was indeed a cheerful moment.
Almost the entire cast and crew of the film was in attendance - from actors to director Asim Raza to writer Imran Aslam to choreographer Nigah Jee and many others. Mahira Khan, who has a small yet special role in the film, was also present on the occasion and looked every bit the star she is. Not present on the occasion, Fawad Khan and Meera ji also have cameos in Parey Hut Love that is scheduled to release on Eid ul Azha 2019.
Before the cast settled down for the press conference, Asim Raza asked Imran Aslam to explain why the film is called Parey Hut Love, a question he was asked several times.
“Love is something that forever exists within us and we are never able to push it aside,” the writer replied. “I am grateful to have been a part of this experience and cannot wait to see my vision come to life.”
Sheheryar Munawar, who is also the executive producer of the upcoming film, shared, “This film would not even have existed without everyone present here today. It’s going to be a unique one and we really hope you enjoy it. This is the first role that has more of myself and I haven’t done that before. It is very difficult because as an actor one fears showing their real self on screen. It is an honest portrayal and you will see that in the film.”
We spoke to Maya Ali, who made her film debut with Teefa In Trouble (earlier this year) that turned out to be a huge success and is now gearing up for her second film.
“It was a beautiful journey,” she expressed, adding that the days went by very smoothly on the set of Parey Hut Love. “Sania (her character in the film) has her limitations but she is a strong, progressive young girl who is bold in her own way.”
Music of the film is composed by Azaan Sami Khan while lyrics have been penned by Asim Raza, according to whom, Parey Hut Love is a coming of age, light romance and comedy.
“It has a lot more to offer than Ho Mann Jahaan in terms of cinematic experience,” he added. “It has a lot more commercial masala. The story and characters are real like my first film and you will not find anything that is far from reality or larger than life.”
As the shoot of Parey Hut Love successfully came to an end, we were exposed to a beautiful, fun evening with the star studded cast of the film.
