A 10-day festival, called Fun Aur Fankaar that celebrates Pakistani art, music, food and fashion, is currently going on in Singapore. Organized by Momentz by Azzah, the festival opened on April 12, which was followed by an Urdu recital, art exhibition and a fashion showcase.
Adnan Siddiqui, who is in Singapore for the festival, recently took to social media to share his experience being the ambassador for the event. He also mentioned other Pakistani artists who are representing the country in various segments of the festival.
“It’s a matter of immense pride and pleasure, representing my nation at foreign events as an ambassador such as the recent Pakistani festival, Fun Aur Funkaar, organized by Azzah Waseem, which is being held in Singapore,” he shared. “This festival is focused on promoting Pakistan’s culture, arts and entertainment by presenting incredible contributions in art by Sadeqain and Jamil Naqsh, fashion exhibitions by Ali Xeeshan, a dramatic recital by the great Sania Saeed, a performance by Shafqat Amanat Ali and Pakistani food festival, anchored by the multi talented Faizan Haque.”
He also went on to say that it is a platform where people from different countries participate and appreciate art. “Every ounce of appreciation for Pakistan’s art and culture makes me proud, because ultimately it is Pakistan that is being praised,” he concluded.
