Amir Adnan is a pioneering name in fashion. A revered name in traditional men’s wear, he stepped into the business of fashion with a collection of funky neck ties, kurtas and hand block printed jeans and hasn’t looked back. With 27 years behind him, the designer has certainly come a long way.

It was almost two months ago that the designer celebrated his 27-year milestone with a solo show at his home. And most recently, producer and actor Camryn Howard was seen wearing an Amir Adnan sherwani at the world premiere of Marvel’s Black Panther, held at Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre.

Speaking to Instep about Howard’s choice to wear his design, Amir Adnan stated, “With so many couture brands like Armani, Gucci easily accessible to Hollywood celebrities, it is always an honour to see our designs penetrate into that.”

Regarding the details of the sherwani, Adnan shared, “Camryn Howard chose to wear a full hand embroidered, textured sherwani made with suiting fabric. It has a flair cut with 36 panels and is also embedded with Swarovski crystals.”

Howard, famous for his role in 2015’s Requiem for Remorse, finished off his look with a Cavallo de Ferro Brazil shirt, BigHorn Rhino glasses, necklace by Boroso Croatia and boots by Rynshu.

Camryn Howard is the third celebrity who opted for an Amir Adnan design in recent years. In January, Alicia Machado (Miss Universe 1996) wore an Amir Adnan sherwani as an off-shoulder overcoat for a red carpet appearance while, in December of last year, actor Nicholas Alexander (star of Jacob Stone) chose a flamboyant floral overall textured jacket on top of a plain black T-shirt, also for a premiere.
