Actor and host Faysal Qureshi has been an integral member of the Pakistani television industry for more than two decades. Most notable for his role in the TV serial, Bashar Momin (2014), Qureshi remains just as committed to the art of storytelling as he was when he began many moons ago.

With the New Year upon us, Qureshi has several ventures in the pipeline including some that go beyond acting. He confirmed this and more while talking to Instep recently.

“I have already completed shooting for Geo TV’s Khalish, which will go on air later this month. Khalish is a revenge story where I play the character of Sahil,” noted the actor.

According to Qureshi, he is working on two more TV projects - Zewar and Bashar Momin 2 - that are expected to premiere in 2018. “With Bashar Momin becoming such a hit, a lot of my fans wanted to see me in the sequel of the play, so I’m finally working on it. Let’s see how it turns out.”

The actor has also started his own production house, called Connect Studios and is currently busy with that as well. “It is a tough job to manage both production and acting at the same time.”

Speaking to Instep, the veteran actor also confirmed that movies are also on the cards for him. “I am working on two scripts at the moment. I can’t disclose much about the projects but most probably I will start shooting for both the films in the coming months,” he said.

With nearly 100 television serials to his credit and a number of telefilms,Qureshi’s contribution to the small screen is both commendable and diverse. Having given strong performances in Zakham and Waada last year, he intends to continue his morning show gig. “The love and appreciation that I get from my fans keep me going, so, you will see a lot more of me in 2018.”
