Karachi-based music group, Sikandar Ka Mandar (SKM), are all set to release their second studio album, 36 on December 25.

Featuring Nadir Shahzad Khan, Zahra Paracha, Mohammad Ali Suhail, Nasir Siddiqui and Raheel Paul, the group (albeit with a different lineup) released its self-titled debut album in 2013 to critical acclaim and their second record is much-awaited in music circles and beyond.

While the record makes its appearance next week, the band has also unveiled 3 videos on YouTube that were recorded as part of a live set session at Electrik Room studios. They include proverbial SKM hits ‘Bemisal’, ‘Badshah’ and a new track called ‘Tu Fikr Na Kar’. These performances are so good that they should convert SKM detractors into followers.

In the lead up to the record’s release, the band has been busy. They performed at the I Am Karachi Music Festival 2017 earlier this month and also played two killer show at True Brew Records in Lahore last month. In addition to this, the band also released the music video for ‘Gehri Neend’ earlier this year with Mariam Saleem Nawaz starring as the protagonist.

Speaking to Instep about SKM’s upcoming album, Mohammad Ali Suhail explained in a previous interview: “This record is a lot more of us.”
