It’s the age of borrowed film titles perhaps. Shah Rukh Khan’s latest film to hit theatres was so uninspired when it came to picking out a name for itself that they simply mixed two films together to make Jab Harry Met Sejal (When Harry Met Sally and Jab We Met).
And if SRK can do it, there’s no reason we can’t either, right? Mehreen Jabbar’s latest telefilm has committed a similar crime by sounding a little too inspired from a recent Bollywood film. Are we the only ones who can see the similarity between Jabbar’s Dino Ki Dulhaniya and the Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan starrer Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya?
Moving on from this conspicuous tactic, the telefilm, all set to air this Eid, marks Jabbar’s comeback to the small screen for the first time since releasing her second feature length film, Dobara Phir Se.
Apart from Jabbar directing, the telefilm counts in its cast actors Feroze Khan and Sana Javed, who are being paired opposite each other for the third time (Khaani and Romeo Weds Heer).
The script has been penned by writer Dr. Muhammad Younis Butt, who has also written for the hit satirical TV series Hum Sab Umeed Se Hain, which bodes well for the upcoming telefilm.
