Though the story is simple, it appears to be entertaining.

“Punjab Nahin Jaongi is a romantic drama,” director Nadeem Beyg, who won Best TV Play trophy for Dillagi at the recently held 16th Annual Lux Style Awards, told Instep on the sidelines of the award ceremony. “The response to the trailer is overwhelming. It’s a simple story that has elements of drama and romance. However, we have Khalil ur Rehman sahab as the writer. He has his own way of narrating scenes and dialogues so that’s a very essential part of the film. He has written it beautifully.”
Beyg also informed that the film has entered the post production stage and is expected to come out on Eid-ul-Azha, this year.
Speaking about the sequel of his 2015 blockbuster film Jawani Phir Nahi Ani, the director revealed that they will begin shooting for JPNA 2 in the next two months. “We plan to finish shooting for it by the end of this year so it will release sometime early next year,” he concluded.
