The film’s trailer and the recently released soundtrack are getting mixed reviews from viewers. With almost three weeks left before the film’s release (February 10, 2017), team Balu Mahi, including the cast and crew, is gearing up for their promotional tour in Pakistan, with the first stretch scheduled to take place in Lahore.
Expected to begin tonight with an appearance on a radio show, the tour includes visiting universities and malls and appearing on various radio and TV shows. The cast including Butt, Jaffri and model Sadaf Kanwal (who is making her acting debut with Balu Mahi), has landed in Lahore where the promotions will run till January 21, from where they will head to Islamabad before beginning the proceedings in Karachi later this month.
However this isn’t the first time when the cast will be promoting Balu Mahi. Butt and Jaffri earlier visited London to promote the film and the response was overwhelming.
Directed by Haissam Hussain and produced by Sadia Jabbar, Balu Mahi is a modern day romantic comedy that revolves around a bride, Mahi, who runs away from her wedding with a guy, Balu, whom she merely knows. What follows is their journey full of love, laughter and unprecedented events surrounding them.
