Princess Beatrice has been given an important royal role after the death of Queen Elizabeth II on Thursday.
Prince Andrew and Sara Ferguson’s eldest daughter has become the Counselor of State after Charles ascended the throne.
Now Beatrice will be seen carrying out most of the official duties on the behalf of King Charles III.
Before the monarch’s death, the position was held by Princes Charles, William, Harry and Andrew.
The four used to temporarily step in the Queen’s place if she was unable to due to illness or had other important engagements.
Meanwhile, Queen Consort Camilla can also act on the King’s behalf in his absence but she is not considered a Counselor of State.
Beatrice, on the other hand, will be authorized to attend Privy Council meetings, signing routine documents.
She will also receive the credentials of new ambassadors to the UK however the princess will not be delegated Commonwealth matters or dissolve Parliament.
