Simon Cowell branded as ‘annoying’ boyfriend by ex
Simon Cowell has been called out by his ex Sinitta
Sinitta has said Simon Cowell is “one of the worst boyfriends” she’s ever had as she set the record straight about her feelings towards him.
The So Macho singer claims she is "forever seen as the person mourning Simon as a boyfriend or husband," but admitted that the pair are much better off as friends instead of a couple.
The singer is one of the music mogul’s best-known former partners, with their relationship dating back to the mid-1980s, when Simon signed her to his label.
While they are now good friends, Sinitta, who recently revealed she has been dating a mystery man for quite some time, said her romance with Simon was far from straightforward.
"I can honestly say he’s probably one of the worst boyfriends I ever had,” she told Woman’s Own Magazine.
Sinitta said that during their time together, she had hoped to marry him, but claimed he "had no intention" of committing to her.
While she insists she still “adores” and loves him, she believes they work better as friends, adding that she now sees Simon more as an “older brother” even joking that he is “so annoying.”
Reflecting on their professional relationship, Sinitta claimed that one of her songs was the first to make Simon money in the 1980s, quipping that it earned him enough to buy a car “instead of stealing mine all the time,” she now describes their bond as sibling-like with a “love-hate relationship.”
