Kate Beckinsale thanks fans for prayers after being rushed to the hospital

Renowned actor Kate Beckinsale has come forth to update her fans about her health, days after she was rushed to hospital with a back injury.

The Serendipity actor shared a photo of herself on Instagram hooked to an IV and reassured her fans that all is well.

“Feeling a lot better. Thank you so much for your kind messages and love x.”

After the photo was posted, her comment section was flooded with prayers from her fans as well as fellow celebrities, including Andie MacDowell, Sarah Silverman and Jamie Foxx.

The 48-year-old actor complained about her back around 10:30am, while she was filming her new film, Prisoner’s Daughter.

That being said, details of how she sustained the injuries have still not been released.

Beckinsale's new film, Prisoner’s Daughter showcases her character as someone having difficulty reconnecting with her father after his 12 years in prison come to an end.

She has no history of serious medical conditions and had been extra cautious amidst the COVID-19 pandemic as well, having to spend two years apart from her only daughter Lily Sheen, to ensure the virus does not spread.
