Sanaa: At least nine people were killed Monday during clashes between militants and troops near Yemen´s presidential palace in the capital Sanaa, the deputy health minister said.

Civilians were among the 67 people wounded, some of them seriously, in the clashes that ended with a ceasefire later in the day, Nasser Baoum told AFP, adding the dead included fighters from both sides.

A medical source had given an earlier toll of at least two people killed and the health ministry had said 55 were wounded. (AFP)
