A Sikh cop posted in Indian state of Uttarakhand was hailed as a hero after he saved a Muslim man from a Hindu mob .
The incident took place at Girija Temple in Ramnagar, which is near Jim Corbett National Park. The spot is famous among couples.
Even though the temple is built in the middle of a forest and is little isolated, many people visit the place quite often.
According to Lallantop.com, a couple decided to meet at the temple on May 22, 2018, but it turned out to be disastrous for them after a mob realised that both of them belonged to different religions.
The brave act of the cop drew praise from netizens who called the cop a hero.
