Nawaz’s statement benefitted India, damaged Pakistan: Imran

ISLAMABAD: Strongly criticizing former prime minister Nawaz Sharif over his statement on Mumbai attacks, Imran Khan demanded action against him under article 6 of the constitution.

Addressing a press conference here Monday, PTI Chairman said that statement of Nawaz Sharif regarding Mumbai attacks benefitted India and damaged Pakistan’s image.

Nawaz Sharif’s name should be place in Exit Control List (ECL) and FIA and NAB should investigate the matter, Khan said.

Everyone should understand why this game was staged, said Khan and added that no doubt conspiracy is being hatched to weaken Pakistan Army.

“Nawaz Sharif started attacking judiciary and the military after Panama Papers,” Khan said.

Nawaz Sharif is making appeals to international establishment to save him, alleged Imran adding that the former prime minister was attacking institutions to divert attention from Panama Papers case.

Investigation should be carried out into business links of Hassan and Hussain Nawaz with Indian businessman Sajjan Jindal.

Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif should immediately step down following the statement of Nawaz Sharif, PTI chairman demanded, adding that PM should clarify Nawaz Sharif’s statement in the National Assembly.

Addressing a press conference here Monday, Imran Khan said, “India making efforts to isolate Pakistan. Indian and Israeli lobby jointly work in the West.”
