Sonam Kapoor-Anand Ahuja’s wedding festivities in full swing

MUMBAI: Wedding festivities at Anil Kapoor's residence have begun in full swing as leading actress Sonam Kapoor is all set to tie the knot with long-term beau Anand Ahuja in a grand ceremony on Tuesday, May 8.

Ringing in celebrations at the bride’s abode Sunday evening, Sonam’s mehndi function was a total star-studded affair, having the likes of top B-town celebrities who attended the event with immense zeal and fervour.

Some of the luminaries in attendance were filmmaker Karan Johar, actress Rani Mukherjee and actors Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor, amongst many others who arrived at the venue to join in the vibrant revelries.

Sonam looked absolutely ravishing as she donned a beautiful peach and grey lehnga complimented with statement jewellery and her groom Anand looked dapper in a salmon pink sherwani.

The bride was surrounded by all her friends and family who had gathered around her as she sat down for henna. Later, Sonam joined everyone at the dance floor with Anand making the celebrations a little extra special.

According to Indian media reports, Sonam and Anand’s sangeet function will be celebrated tonight, where her father actor Anil Kapoor will dance to his claim-to-fame ‘My Name is Lakkhan’ song. Sridevi’s daughters Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor, who are Sonam’s cousins, will also present dance numbers - choreographed by celebrity choreographer Farah Khan - at the event.
