Sanam Saeed encourages victims of sexual harassment to speak up

With the havoc erupting in the country presently over the Meesha-Ali clash, Pakistan’s notable actor Sanam Saeed has stepped in the field and picked a side, in support of the #MeToo movement and encouraging other victim's of harassment to speak up.

The 33 year old actor bringing her silence on the matter, to a halt, has talked in support of Meesha Shafi in her latest Instagram post.

"For anyone afraid to speak up... we are here to support you. Let’s break the cycle together and support one another. Let inappropriate behavior not go unchecked. No matter when you choose to #SpeakUp, regardless of days, minutes, weeks or years. Feel at ease that you have shared your truth. Their voices must and will be heard," read her verdict on the matter of sexual harassment.

Putting an end to a rampant debate of Ali Zafar appearing to be a “decent family man,” Sanam had called out all the defendants of the accused stating that a person does not have to particularly fit a criterion of having a lack of appropriacy, with wicked tendencies within them or be a non-family person to walk off the trail.

This is not the first time the actor has spoken in support of women empowerment. The ‘Cake’ star had been extremely vocal about the topic during the promotions of her latest film as well.
