In spite of the Mahria Khan starrer ‘Raees’ creating a substantial buzz at the box office soon after its release, it appears that the film’s success was no match for Saba Qamar’s ‘Hindi Medium.’
The Indian film ‘Raees’, featuring the King of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan, alongside Pakistani beauty queen Mahira Khan had generated a colossal amount of INR 2 billion and had caused frenzy worldwide. Even with the huge success, though, the film did not manage to beat Bollywood’s hit production ‘Hindi Medium’ featuring another one of Pakistan’s leading ladies, Saba Qamar.
As per Indian media reports, ‘Raees’ managed to earn INR 1.9 billion at the Indian box office and INR 95 million at a global scale. On the other hand, the Saba Qamar and Irrfan Khan starrer beat ‘Raees’ by earning INR 3 billion at the global box office.
‘Hindi Medium’ also defeated Salman Khan’s ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ and ‘Sultan’ at box office.
