Priyanka Chopra to star next to Salman Khan in upcoming film 'Bharat'

MUMBAI: Bollywood’s beauty queen Priyanka Chopra is getting ready to star alongside the megastar Salman Khan in their upcoming film Bharat.

Under the directives of Ali Abbas Zafar, the film comes as an adaptation of the 2014 South Korean film ‘Ode to My Father’

The film will be putting an end to the Quantico star’s hiatus from Indian cinema, after her 2016 appearance in ‘Jai Gangaajal.’

Starring alongside each other after a decade, the two icons had previously shared the screen together in 2004 released film ‘Mujh Say Shaadi Karogi’, ‘Salaam-e-Ishq’ of 2007 and ‘God Tussi Great Ho’ of 2008.

As per media reports, the 35-year-old actor is overjoyed about starring next to the ‘Bajrangi Bhaijan’ actor as she states: “Bharat it is! I’m looking forward to begin shooting this film and working with Salman and Ali again after a considerable time. I’ve learnt a lot from them in our previous collaborations and am excited to see what this one has to offer. I’m also looking forward to working with Alvira and Atul (Agnihotri, Salman’s sister and brother-in-law and film’s producers) and the entire team of ‘Bharat’.To all my well-wishers who’ve been so patient and supportive… thank you for your constant support and I’ll see you all at the movies.”

The commencement of the film’s shoot was posted on social media website Twitter by director Ali Abbas Zafar who tweeted: “And it begins. A journey of a man and a nation together. Eid 2019,” along with a picture of Khan on the sets.

The film is presently in preparations in London before the director moves to four more locations of Spain, Portugal, Poland and Malta.

The film will exhibit Khan in five different appearances in a period of 60 years, including a part where he will be seen in his late 20’s. According to reports, the actor’s Karan Arjun look will also be restored in the film.
