DUBAI: The Dubai Mall has launched sleeping pods for its tired shoppers who are likely to get exhausted from the 1200 shops on option. The Sleep Pod Lounge is a breakthrough invention to cater to shopaholics who flock to Dubai Mall from across the world.
Priced at AED 40 for an hour and AED 95 for three hours, the pod is every lethargic person’s sanctuary. The pod also carries sockets and phone chargers to allow energy re-boost for your little techy partner.
The pods are long enough to comfortably accommodate your bodies and allow you enough stretching and tossing turning space. It also allows sleepers to block out any light and in case you are a passionate sleepy person, a pillow is also available for rent for AED 10.
Twelve pods have been placed near the grand parking area so it’s a first come first serve opportunity.
Lately, there has been a lot of emphasis on getting naps and getting enough sleep. IKEA also launched a sleep truck to encourage people to rest while they are out and about.
The advancements are part of a research conducted in UAE which revealed that one in three people don’t get enough amount of sleep and that if given the chance, people would like to reclaim their sleep.
