Months after dozen of famous women shared their expricnce of sexual harrassment in the wake of allgations against disgraced movie mogul Harvey Weinstein, Jennifer Lopez has also spoken about her own exprience.
According a magazine, the singer and actress said in an interview although she has not experienced the violence other women have been sujected to, she has been terrified about speaking up.
Sharing her exprience, the actress said she became target of harssament at the hands of a fim director who asked her to take her clothes off.
"When I did speak up, I was terrified. I remember my heart beating out of my chest, thinking, 'What did I do? This man is hiring me!'
"It was one of my first movies. But in my mind I knew the behaviour wasn't right. It could have gone either way for me.
"But I think ultimately the Bronx in me was like, 'Nah, we're not having it.'"
Me Too movement spread virally last year as a hashtag used on social media to help demonstrate the widespread prevalence of sexual assault and harassment, especially in the workplace.[It followed soon after the public revelations of sexual misconduct allegations against Harvey Weinstein.
