Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid split after two year relationship

The internet is in shambles after the world-famous duo of pop star Zayn Malik and supermodel Gigi Hadid decided to part ways after two years of staying together.

The 22 year old American model took to Twitter to confirm the news of her split with longtime beau Zayn Malik. “Breakup statements often seem impersonal because there is really no way to put into words what two people experience together over a few years..I’m forever grateful for the love, time and life lessons that Z and I shared,” shared Gigi.

Zayn, the ex member of the-now disbanded British boy band, One Direction, also tweeted an affectionate note stating “Gigi and I had an incredibly meaningful, loving and fun relationship and I have huge amount of respect and adoration for Gigi as a woman and a friend.”

As per inside reports, Zayn’s suffering from anxiety had overshadowed their relationship to the point she felt suffocated by him.

The relationship was reported to be on the verge of collapse in 2017 as well with the model purportedly stating that she wanted to call it quits because of the singer’s dependent behavior.

On those speculations, Malik retorted saying their relationship was completely normal and he does not consider them to be on the pedestal of “power couple” they have been placed on.
