A chauffeur’s keyless BMW was stolen in only under 90 seconds using hi-tech devices and a backpack.

Twenty eight years old resident of Manchester and the owner of the £17,000 seven series BMW, Uraib Asif released the shocking CCTV footage where one of the crooks can be seen jamming the blocking system by holding a backpack in front of the front door that blocked signals from the owner’s keyfob; whereas the other one opens the door using a replica fob.

A chauffeur from Rochdale in Greater Manchester, Uraib has issued warnings to motorists in the area to make sure their keys are stored in a metal tin or a special bag to stop this from happening again.

One of the burglar goes on to the other side of the road after the engine starts which Uraib assumes was to check if any lights in the house came on as a reaction to the car starting.

The car was reported missing an hour later after his father had woken up by chance and detected the empty driveway.

Talking to local media, the owner stated: “The annoying thing is that when I started to hear more of these scanner thieves I started to store my keys in a metal tin away from the door but I just became lazy and stopped doing it.”
