In a bid to constantly bring upgradation to the instant-messaging application, owners of WhatsApp have introduced a new feature that enables Android users to dismiss an admin from group chats.
The feature allows one group administrator to dismiss the other as administrator; however that person remains very much a member of the group.
Prior to the introduction of this feature, the admin had to be removed from the group and added back as an ordinary member again in order to revoke his rights as an admin. But the feature has brought with itself increased ease as the chats can now be controlled in an instant.
Users can find this feature under the ‘group info’ section in group chats.
According to the WhatsApp Beta information report, the feature is available to only Android users as for now. The IOS version of it is going to debut soon.
