Shahrukh Khan compensates distributors for ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’ losses
After Salman Khan’s Tubelight, now Shah Rukh Khan compensates distributors for film ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’ failure.
The film, starring Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma, didn't even cross the Rs 100 crore mark at the box office.
Shah Rukh Khan had decided to compensate a part of the money to distributors of his much-hyped Imtiaz Ali film, that crashed ruthlessly at the box office earlier this year.
Shah Rukh made his team calculate the losses incurred, and has compensated about 30% to a few distributors already.
And this is not the first time, he had refunded the distributors when his productions such as Dilwale, Paheli and Asoka didn't perform at the box office as expected.
Jab Harry Met Sejal was expected to earn at least Rs100 crore but could manage a meager Rs 64.33 crore.
The cause of its failure is supposed to be because of the critics and the audience and the bad reviews and the reviews had travelled fast on social media, leading to terrible collections.
