PARIS: Ahmed Merabet, the Muslim police officer who sacrificed his life in line of duty during attack on Paris magazine Charlie Hebdo, has emerged as ‘hero’ in France, Geo News reported.

PARIS: Ahmed Merabet, the Muslim police officer who sacrificed his life in line of duty during attack on Paris magazine Charlie Hebdo, has emerged as ‘hero’ in France, Geo News reported.
Ahmed Merabet, 42 was among those killed in the attack. Local policeman was a Muslim and was murdered by the attackers as they fled the scene.
Horrific images of his death, with the gunmen going back to shoot him in the head after he fell wounded on a pavement, were filmed by onlookers.
Ahmed, by scarifying his life, thwarted the conspiracy to increase hatred against Islam.
Thousands of people took to the streets to pay tribute to Ahmed Merabet.
