NEW YORK: Kashmir is an integral part of India, and will always be, said Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj at United Nations General Assembly on Monday in a clear violation of UN resolution on Kashmir.
The speech comes days after Pakistani prime minister declared the protest movement in the occupied valley as Kashmiri Intifada and called for inquiry into the brutalities being carried out by Indian forces.
“Pakistan should stop dreaming,” she said in her speech at the world body just as Indian prime minister concluded a meeting in New Delhi, in which he reviewed a water distribution treaty with Pakistan.
“Those who live in glass houses should not throw stones at others,” she said in an obvious response to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s speech at the UN General Assembly.
“We will have to come together to fight the scourage of terrorism, if some country is not willing then it must be isolated,” Sushma Swaraj said a couple of days after Narendra Modi’s rant athat India will work for isolation of Pakistan.
