Lady Gaga is apologising to beauty influencer Golloria four months after Golloria criticised Gaga's makeup brand, Haus Labs, over a new bronzer.

In May, Golloria posted a video about the upcoming Sun Dipped Bronzing Veil, which was set to launch with six shades.

She said she usually likes Haus Labs' complexion products, but she was disappointed when she tried the three darkest shades on her face.

"I don't know what or who you guys switched up in that lab, but switch it back," she said. In her caption, she wrote that no brand is bigger than the program and told Haus Labs to "do better."

Golloria later said Haus Labs asked her to take down the video because the product was under embargo.

On Thursday, Gaga, 40, then shared a statement from Haus Labs on Instagram. She confirmed the team asked Golloria to remove the post because of the embargo. She said the way the company first handled the feedback "was wrong" and that the team wants to take full responsibility.

Gaga also said launching with limited shades was the wrong decision. She said the way Golloria was treated was unkind and not how any customer should be treated.

Because of Golloria's feedback, she said, the brand paused the launch to build a more inclusive shade range. It also held internal talks to stop this from happening again.

"I truly apologize to Golloria and the community for where we fell short," Gaga wrote. "You were 100% right." She added, "Personally, I will see to it."

Gaga said the bronzer will launch soon with 11 shades for a wide range of skin tones. She ended the statement by saying, "We love you, and we are sorry."
