Cynthia Erivo teases mystery guest at Hollywood Bowl concert

Cynthia Erivo opened up about challenges of her Hollywood Bowl show.

It is worth noting here that Cynthia’s Hollywood Bowl concert is set to take place on October 15, where she will perform a special live show called, Let Me Sing To You.

Recently speaking with People Magazine, the Broadway star said her backstage necessities are “a lot of honey and tea.”

The actress also opened up about finalizing her Hollywood Bowl setlist, saying, “I’ve been lucky because this year and last year I’ve been doing a lot of amphitheaters and lots of outdoor venues and we’ve been drip-feeding the set list with the things that I want to put into the Hollywood Bowl.”

“Just gently changing the set list as we’ve been going along,” she added.

Cynthia said that the iconic outdoor venue makes weather an important part of her concert preparation, stating, “Weather is a thing, so you have to figure out, do I need to wear something that keeps me warm? Do I need to wear something that keeps me cool?”

She went on to say, “And I know now that I have to be hydrated all the way through the concert because a lot of the songs are big songs and they require a lot. You have a big orchestra behind you, so it’s a big task.”

Sharing about her rehearsal routine, the Grammy winning singer revealed, “I have a very terrible tendency of singing like it’s the concert when I’m doing a rehearsal,” she continued, “So I’ve retaught myself during rehearsal to not sing out as much, because I can’t help it. I love the music.”

She further teased a couple of special guests, “one you will know very, very well. I haven’t sung with this person for a long time in front of people, but we have sung together before and it was right at the beginning of my career. ”

Noting, “There’s a lot going on right now and a lot of it is made up of wishful fulfillment and dreams coming true, and others are things that have surprised me.”

“I am grateful for all of it,” the Wicked star acknowledged.
