Charles Spencer claims if he had written book about King Charles it 'would really be a jaw-dropper'

Charles Spencer, brother of the late Princess Diana is making headlines as he reveals shocking secrets in the upcoming memoir.

As Swan Song: Diana, My Sister has officially been release on September 22, Charles sat down with People Magazine for an interview and discussed about the time he told Prince Harry and Prince William about the memoir.

Charles shared that initially he kept the memoir secret, and told Harry and William along with his sisters Lady Sarah and Lady Jane at the same time. Only, Charles' wife Cat Spencer and the "people who had to know in the book world" were aware of the memoir.

Furthermore, Charles shared Diana and King Charles' sons were also concerned about how he portrayed their father. "Yeah, that was a concern."

However, he admitted that his intention wasn't to write a scandalous book about King Charles, although noting that he could have done that if he wanted to. "I mean, I don’t want this to sound loaded, but there was an awful lot I could have put in and I didn’t. If I wanted to write a scandalous book about Prince Charles or King Charles as he is now, it would really be a jaw-dropper, but I’m not here to do that."

Charles Spencer shared that the reason he didn't want to tell his sisters Lady Sarah and Lady Jane about the book was so they're "totally innocent" if there's backlash.

"I wanted them to be able to put their hand up and say, ‘Well, we didn’t know he was doing it,’ in case there’s backlash or whatever. So they’re totally innocent parties in this. This is very much a brother’s view," he said.
