Jennifer Lawrence shatters Instagram with over a million new followers in hours

Jennifer Lawrence on Wednesday unveiled a verified account on the social media platform.

The Oscar-winning actress opted for the handle of @jlaw. In the description, Jennifer joked, "jenniferlawrence was taken."

On September 10, 2026, the 36-year-old actress uploaded a funny video to the social media platform.

“So, yeah, I am givin it a shot, and if anyone says anything negative, I will quit immediately, no questions asked,” Lawrence says in the IG reel. If anyone thinks something mean, I’ll know. And I’ll quit,” she said in the video. 

The Silver Linings Playbook star has already racked up nearly 1.5 million followers. Jennifer will next be seen onscreen in The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping.

The 36-year-old reprises her role as Katniss Everdeen in the project, a prequel to The Hunger Games franchise. The film is set to be released in November.
