Tupac Shakur 'killer' sends message to world after court verdict

Duane “Keffe D” Davis was found guilty in the high-profile killing of rap legend Tupac Shakur in 1996.

However, he said he is innocent in the first interview after his conviction.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, when Davis was asked what he wanted to tell the world, he said, "I’m innocent, man. They got an innocent man sitting in jail. I’ve got two grandsons that are going to the pros in football."

"They All-Americans — one of them is in high school. He has 25 scholarship offers, and the other is from a college. And when they get their millions, they’re coming to get me out of here," the convicted killer said.

Apart from him, there is Sean 'Diddy' Combs.

During the trial, the embattled rap producer is already behind bars; his name popped up in Shakur's trial.

Davis has accused him of offering him a million dollars to kill the rap legend and his associate Suge Knight.

However, the jury found not enough proof to consider Combs' name.

But according to Clark County District Attorney Steve Wolfson, this may change, should sufficient evidence arrive.

“At this point, we don’t believe we have sufficient evidence to charge anyone else with the death of Tupac Shakur," he said in a press conference.

"But, like any other case, if we come across more information, more evidence, we can always consider filing additional charges."

"But today, we don’t believe that’s the appropriate move to make,” Wolfson concluded.
