Kelly Clarkson gets honest about her talk show's impact on her ahead of final episode
Kelly Clarkson shares how her 'The Kelly Clarkson' show helped her during her tough time
Kelly Clarkson got candid about how her long-running talk show was a breath of fresh air during the dark periods of her life.
As the singer-songwriter is all set to say goodbye to her The Kelly Clarkson Show after seven seasons with the last episode airing on Monday, August 31st, she confessed that since the launch of the show, her life has changed a lot.
Kelly said in a promo video for the last episode, "You know what? [In our] seven seasons, a lot has happened in my personal life and a lot has happened in life for everyone."
Recalling the past seven years, the mom of two continued, "There’s been a pandemic. I think, if there’s a word to describe The Kelly Clarkson Show, it’s pivot. There’s not been one normal season, I feel like, but at the same time; what a necessary thing to have to come to work and focus on other people."
She remarked, "I think that saved me, honestly, a lot of times [and] I think this show has made everyone better at what they do."
The show began in September 2019, after she quit as a coach on The Voice.
During her time on the show, she also separated from her late ex-husband Brandon Blackstock in 2022, who passed away last year in August.
Kelly previously announced that the reason behind her exit from The Kelly Clarkson show it to focus on her kids.
It is pertinent to mention that Kelly Clarkson is mom to daughter River Rose, 12, and son Remington, ten, whom she welcomed with Brandon.
