Nepal's 'Green House' survives devastating flood

A horrific video of Nepal's flash flood hitting a house  with people standing in the balcony waiting for a miracle to save their lives went viral on social media.

Hours after the video emerged online, users started wondering about the fate of the occupants of the house as the short clip does not show the devastating flood destroying the house.

On Friday, X users started posting videos of the house located in Nuwakot district, revealing that the residents survived the flood. 

Commenting on the video, thousands of people praised the "engineer" who built the house. However, some users were of the video that it was mere luck that the house survived this scale of catastrophe.  

Meanwhile, authorities said the ​death toll ‌from the ​flash ​flood that ⁠occurred ​earlier ​this week in ​Nepal ​has reached 469. ‌

Nepal and China resumed rescue operations that had been suspended briefly in the flood-hit Himalayas after risks from an overflowing lake were found to be ​manageable, easing fears of fresh devastation.
