Kanye West concert delivers jaw-dropping $11M boost to Kazakhstan

For Kazakhstan, Kanye West's concert in mid-August was more than a music event.

Instead, it became a major tourism and economic win for the Central Asian country and reportedly brought in $11 million.

According to Astana Times, the show drew a whopping 31,000 spectators.

But if you break down the figures, 7,700 were visitors from more than 50 countries — underscoring the rapper's global appeal.

Among those foreign visitors, 2,000 were die-hard West fans following his international tour.

As the full picture emerges, it has brought a sizable tourism boost to the country.

This has quickly translated into a boost for the hotel industry.

Demand skyrocketed to nearly 98% around the dates of the Grammy-winning rapper's concert, according to Almaty's Tourism Department.

Though the concert was delayed for a day due to worsening weather, the organizers still pulled off creating the spherical structure — a breathtaking spectacle West unveiled on his tour — in only five days.

With over 4,400 people working at the venue, reports say, a multitude of police, security,y and medical personnel, along with municipal and technical workers, turned the high-stakes into physical reality in no time.
