Royal expert believes King Charles to honour Prince Harry with major move

A royal expert believes King Charles will honour his estranged son Prince Harry following the Duke’s request to his father.

The Duke has reportedly invited the King to the Invictus Games in Birmingham, UK in 2027.

Harry wants Charles at 2027 Invictus Games to attend either the opening or closing ceremony of the week-long event.

The insiders said, "The prince's plan could see the monarch join him at major events during the Games."

Harry is the patron of the Invictus Games, which are due to be held in Birmingham in July.

Now, a royal expert has claimed that King Charles will probably attend the event.

Royal expert Sarah Vine, when asked if Charles will join Harry at the Invictus Games next year, told Palace Confidential that she believed he probably will.

The royal expert said: "He will see that, I personally think, as his role as king... I think he would think it would cause too much psychodrama if he didn't go."

The royal expert’s remarks came a month after King Charles and Camilla met his son Prince Harry, his wife Meghan and their two children Archie and Lilibet for the first time in four years.

Harry's family had travelled from an unspecified destination in Europe for the meeting at Highgrove, Charles private residence in southwestern England.

Harry arrived in the UK in a visit to mark the one-year countdown to next year's Invictus Games for wounded veterans, which he founded.

Meghan, seven-year-old son Archie and daughter Lilibet, 5, were initially set to miss the trip -- reportedly because they were refused police protection.
