Kristen Stewart on whether she's down for another 'Twilight' film
Kristen Stewart on how she feels about 'Twilight' shoots now
Kristen Stewart has admitted she is open to working on another Twlight film if the project reopens.
The 36-year-old actress made the admission during a recent podcast appearance, as she looked back on her time filming the Twilight movies.
Stewart said she doesn't mind still being asked about the franchise years later and shared that she would be open to doing another film in the future.
During the podcast, Stewart also jokingly called her acting back then overly serious, dramatic, and even dubbed herself “a pretentious little loser” during that period of her career.
Stewart was only 17 when she filmed the first movie and said she and co-star Robert Pattinson approached the original 2008 film with intense focus, wanting to elevate the material, even though they were both quite young at the time.
“It was so so serious,” she said while mocking herself on the In Your Dreams With Owen Thiele podcast that dropped Friday.
“Me and Rob were like, ‘Yeah, this is like f****** epic, like, let’s try and, like, elevate this s***,’ And it’s like, just be exactly what age you are, and like say the words.”
She joked about wanting everything to feel authentic, even though the situation made that difficult. Looking back now, she said the emotions actually did feel genuine, despite how dramatic it may have seemed at the time.
“It was always like, ‘Oh my God, embarrassing. God, I just wanted to be like f****** real and it’s, like, impossible. Everyone’s like making it f****** impossible for it to be like f****** real,'” she joked. “And then you look at it, and you’re like, it was f****** real.”
Pattinson, 40, shared similar reflections earlier this year, but said he has no regrets about how seriously the cast approached the material.
Stewart and Pattinson dated for several years after meeting on the first film, though they eventually split. Stewart later faced public scrutiny over a past relationship controversy, which she addressed publicly at the time.
Stewart is now married to writer and director Dylan Meyer, whom she wed in 2025. Meyer recently directed her in an upcoming comedy film The Wrong Girls.
