Lizzo exposes truth about internet trolls in powerful message to fans

Lizzo had faced bouts of online vitriol. From racist remarks to fatphobia, she had faced it all, which had a heavy toll on her mental health.

However, for quite some time, the musician pushed back against the hatred and is now advising others on how to navigate the online negativity.

During her 'Self Love IRL' Twitch stream, she told one of her fans to be aware of how online hatred often does not reflect reality.

“Just remember, it’s not real," the Still Bad singer said, adding she experienced a completely different attitude from the people when she steps into real life.

"When I go into the real world, nobody says that shit to me. Nobody. Everybody’s always so nice. And I’m like, oh wait, so y’all just bold on the internet.”

But besides hosting a stream on Twitch, she even landed a bigger role there.

That's when popular podcaster Kai Cenat named her one of the professors for the second annual Streamer University.

When announcing, the streamer said, "If y'all don't know, Lizzo be Twitch'ing! She be streaming."

"And she sent me an application and bro, she is ready to bring something to the table!"
