Alec Baldwin's wife Hilaria breaks silence on her years-long health battle: 'It's broken me'
Hilaria Baldwin, wife of Alec Baldwin, opens up about her health journey and how much worse it gets
Hilaria Baldwin recently broke her silence on a years-long battle with eating disorders.
While conversing with Page Six Radio for an interview, the 42-year-old American businesswoman revealed that she started dating at the age of 5 and her fears worsened to the point that she was afraid of consuming hidden calories in toothpaste.
Alec Baldwin said she lived with eating disorders for twenty years and had “anorexia, I did bulimia, I did overeating, I did undereating, did all of it.”
She shared, “I started dieting when I was 5. I looked back, and I was like, ‘I looked fine.’ But I thought I was like a whale.”
“There was something broken inside of me,” Baldwin stated, adding that it was ADHD that had adverse effects on her eating disorder.
She confessed, “We get very hyperfocused on certain things — it can be bad too —but one of the good things that it did is it made me hyperfocused on trying. Like, I need to solve this. “
I don’t want to live this way. I’m miserable. I can’t have good relationships. I can’t have good friendships. I can’t go out to dinner with people. It’s just like so, so, so stressful.”
“I’m afraid of how many calories might be in toothpaste,” Hilaria Baldwin stated and called it “insanity.”
