Pokémon announces massive 40,320-piece puzzle for 30th anniversary
Ravensburger's new 40,320-piece Pokemon puzzle stretches over 22 feet and launches September 2026
Pokémon's 30th anniversary celebration is adding another milestone release this September: a jigsaw puzzle so large it stretches more than 22 feet once assembled.
Ravensburger's new 40,320-piece set joins a wave of anniversary content marking three decades since Pokemon Red and Blue first launched.
The puzzle consists of ten interrelated Pokemon images arranged in a single panorama, with Pokemon belonging to several generations. The puzzle has the same 40,320 pieces structure as previous Ravensburger’s massive puzzle of Disney characters that reached up to 22 ft. in width and 6+ ft. in height.
An official price has yet to be established, but the minimum range of prices for such puzzles is ft inted to be between $700 and $800.
The puzzle is a part of a larger 30th-anniversary package that includes bringing the Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen Game Boy Advance classics to Switch, releasing Generation 10 Pokémon Winds and Waves exclusively for Switch 2, and collaborating with Target for special merchandise.
However, if you were expecting some news regarding a mainline Pokemon game, there's nothing to see here for now. The Generation 10 Pokémon Winds and Waves won't be coming until late 2027, with the next big announcement probably coming in February 2027 around Pokémon Day.
Some leaks have even indicated that Generation 10 Pokemon games might bring hundreds of new creatures, both regionals and existing ones from previous generations, but nothing is confirmed yet.
For now, Pokémon Pokopia's Bubbly Basin DLC is coming in August, followed by two more DLCs in late 2026 and early 2027.
