Kanye West and Kim Kardashian schooled on how to raise teen daughter
Rapper Skepta reacts after a video showed 13-year-old North West greeting an adult man at Paris Fashion Week
Rapper Skepta has is calling on Kim Kardashian and Kanye West to "protect your kids" after a video of their daughter North West at Paris Fashion Week sparked debate online.
The clip showed 13-year-old North greeting an adult man during the Vetements Menswear Spring/Summer 2027 show on Friday.
In the video, North appeared to offer a handshake before the man hugged her and posed for a photo.
Reacting on X, Skepta said the teenager's body language suggested she wanted a handshake instead of a hug.
"A blind man could see she wanted a handshake," he wrote.
"My fans know I try to stay out of people's business but damn the way grown men, complete strangers, try to use North makes me sick."
When one user asked if hugging had become a social offence, Skepta replied that North's actions made her intentions clear.
"What are you talking about?! She is 13 years old and she put her hand out for a handshake, you don't ignore that," he wrote.
After another user said North had "basically skipped being a teenager" because of her fame, Skepta responded, "WOW!! Protect your kids people. Protect your kids!"
He also criticised people for ignoring body language.
"Schools teaching French, German & English when really the language most people need to learn is 'Body Language,'" he wrote.
The video got many social media users weighing in on his two cents, mostly agreeing with Skepta.
One Reddit user wrote, "Shame on these grown men for crossing very obvious boundaries. That's a 13-year-old, no matter how famous her parents may be."
