Jennifer Aniston makes shocking move for private Matthew Perry letter
Jennifer Aniston 'shocked' as personal Matthew Perry letter was put up for sale
Jennifer Aniston is said to be surprised over the auction sale of a private letter she once wrote to her late Friends co-star Matthew Perry.
According to Radar Online, the actress stepped in to stop the auction sale of the note. "Jen was shocked," the source said.
Adding, "She never imagined something written from the heart to a close friend would be treated as a collectible."
As per the source, Aniston "felt strongly that some things aren't meant for public consumption."
"No matter how worthy the cause, this crossed a line for her," they added.
However, the letter was pulled from sale and returned. Once the Friends alum explained how much the letter meant to her, the decision reportedly became easy. "It was a private conversation with someone she loved."
"Jennifer believes some memories simply cannot be priced," the source added.
Jennifer Aniston and Matthew Perry shared a close bond long after Friends wrapped in 2004. In his 2022 memoir and promotional interviews, Perry spoke warmly about Aniston's support during his battle with addiction, saying she was the cast member who checked in on him the most.
It is pertinent to mention that neither Aniston nor representatives for Perry's estate have publicly commented on the reported incident.
